"To be effective, however, accountability has to be two-way and horizontal as well as vertical. [...] What do we need to do to help ensure your success? What is our reciprocal and relational accountability to one another? How do we each own parts of this problem?” -Tony Wagner
A short summary of the collaborative work accomplished for this phase This week’s accomplishments involved creating 100 ways to face our challenge: How might we increase access to a biliteracy focused, global, and competitive education for every student? In addition, selecting those that would work to involve community members and parents who are our end users. From those 100 ideas, we selected 15 ideas which then were added to a survey for community and parents to vote on those 15 ideas. We collaborated using a Prezi to find 6 different solutions to our challenge, find a benefits for end users, and solutions for constraints. Teachers with different backgrounds came up with different ideas, and interacted with those same ideas to produces more ways to transform education Everyone had different input, but everyone's ideas were validated and accepted. Your individual contribution to this week's work This week’s contribution continued as a notetaker, and contributed to our 100 solutions for our challenge. We use the app Popple. Some of the top ideas I shared with my team included: “Promote biliteracy in news and social media” “Start a campaign..I am Biliterate! Are you? around the community” “Contact Migrant Ed to attend Parent Meetings” “Create an organization of parents help advocate for programs and inform other parents by attending meetings” We shared through social media a survey for parents and our community to understand their preference to the best solutions to reach out to them. |

Talk to our team of how we can easily jump into different role to support each other. This is what made this week work!
How would you apply this process with students or colleagues at your site?

- If we know our impact on learning, we will increase it.
- If students take ownership of their learning, their learning will flourish.
